The cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam due to a question paper leak has stirred political responses. BJP leaders support the government’s decision, citing student welfare, while the Congress criticizes the examination system’s failure. Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi commended the government’s responsible actions to safeguard students’ interests.

In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Minister Narendra Kumar Kashyap emphasized the government’s stringent measures against paper leaks. He assured the implementation of stronger safeguards in the future to prevent such incidents. BJP leader Boora Narsaiah Goud in Hyderabad expressed regret over the exam cancellation and apologized to affected students, urging them to stay calm and prepare for the re-examination.

On the contrary, Congress leader Ajay Kumar Lallu condemned the BJP-led government, alleging a collapse in the examination system’s integrity. Lallu criticized the government for betraying students and jeopardizing their future. The NEET-UG 2026 exam was called off following allegations of a question paper leak and irregularities during the exam.

Investigative agencies like the CBI and state police are actively investigating the matter, with several arrests already made in connection with the case.
