The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, the nation’s largest medical entrance test, will take place on Sunday, June 21, after the cancellation of the initial May 3 exam due to alleged irregularities. Extensive security arrangements have been organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in collaboration with various authorities to ensure a fair process for over 22 lakh aspirants seeking admission to medical courses.
With 5,440 centers across 551 Indian cities and 14 international locations, the exam will be conducted in English and 12 Indian languages. The NTA has readied over 95,000 exam rooms equipped with 1,38,560 CCTV cameras monitored at different levels to prevent leaks and maintain transparency.
To ensure a secure environment, two invigilators will be present in each exam room, supported by additional staff. The NTA has deployed frisking personnel, biometric staff, and security personnel at every center, along with AI-based CCTV monitoring and jammers for a smooth examination process.
