Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor revealed that filmmaker Karan Johar played a pivotal role in her comeback to films following the passing of her husband, Rishi Kapoor. Neetu expressed her emotional vulnerability during that period, mentioning how Karan’s encouragement led her to star in Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
Opening up on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, Neetu disclosed Karan’s words urging her to re-enter the film industry, to which she agreed. She admitted feeling extremely nervous while filming Jug Jug Jeeyo, lacking the strength she once had, especially without her late husband’s presence on set. Neetu credited this challenging experience for her personal growth and strength.
Neetu’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, also shared insights on the family’s struggle post Rishi Kapoor’s demise. She highlighted the emotional distance between them during their grieving process, unable to fully support each other. Neetu emphasized that returning to work played a crucial role in her healing journey, providing her with strength and happiness beyond fame or financial gains.
