A group of Nepali nationals was arrested following a violent altercation near Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru. The incident, captured in an 18-second video that went viral on social media, showed the youths fighting on the footpath in broad daylight. Vidhana Soudha, a popular tourist spot, witnessed the clash, raising concerns over public safety in the area.
The four arrested individuals, identified as Shakti, Ishwar, Dipendra, and another person, are all from Baitadi district in Nepal. They were employed as security guards in Bengaluru and were involved in the physical fight after an argument broke out between two groups near Vidhana Soudha. The police have initiated an investigation to identify and locate others involved in the altercation.
This incident is not the first involving Nepali nationals in Bengaluru. In a similar event last year, 11 Nepali individuals were arrested following a group clash. The police are actively investigating the recent altercation to determine the roles of all participants and assess the need for additional arrests. The authorities are working to ensure public order and safety in the area.
