Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee, along with Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam and Mushfiqur Rahim, have been shortlisted for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for May. Airee’s exceptional performances in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 earned him a spot on the list, scoring 249 runs and taking eight wickets in six ODIs.
Taijul Islam, a spinner from Bangladesh, played a crucial role in their historic 2-0 Test series win over Pakistan, emerging as the highest wicket-taker with 13 wickets. Mushfiqur Rahim, also from Bangladesh, received a nomination for his outstanding batting in the Tests against Pakistan, scoring 235 runs across two matches.
On the women’s side, England’s Lauren Bell, Pakistan’s Gull Feroza, and New Zealand’s Maddy Green are nominated for their remarkable performances in international cricket. Bell stood out for England as the leading wicket-taker in the ODI series against New Zealand, while Feroza shone in Pakistan’s 3-0 ODI whitewash over Zimbabwe, scoring 256 runs. Green played a pivotal role for New Zealand in the drawn ODI series with England, scoring 125 runs.
