The newly-appointed BJP chiefs in Delhi and Haryana have expressed their thanks to the party’s central leadership for the opportunity. Haryana BJP chief, Archana Gupta, appreciated the party for appointing a woman to a significant leadership position, fulfilling its commitment to empowering women. Dr. Archana Gupta, a radiologist by profession, has been serving as General Secretary in the party’s state unit.
She acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National President Nitin Nabin, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for “promoting a woman” in a key role within the party. Gupta emphasized the BJP’s support for women by entrusting her with the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Haryana organization.
Referring to the defeat of the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, which aimed at implementing one-third women’s reservation in the Lok Sabha and legislative Assemblies, Gupta criticized the Congress, Trinamool Congress, and other Opposition parties for betraying women. She highlighted the BJP’s commitment to advancing women’s rights and ensuring their empowerment, citing examples of women’s achievements in Haryana, particularly in sports.
BJP MP Harsh Malhotra, the new BJP chief in Delhi, also expressed his gratitude to the party’s central leadership, including PM Modi and HM Shah, as well as the party’s Delhi leadership, for the opportunity. Malhotra pledged to earnestly fulfill the significant responsibility entrusted to him, succeeding Virendra Sachdeva as Delhi’s BJP chief.
