Newly appointed Sidhi District Collector Vikas Mishra has started assessing the progress of various departments through meetings with officials right after taking charge. Mishra stressed the importance of addressing public grievances promptly and sensitively, emphasizing that government schemes should benefit every individual.
In a recent meeting with the Education Department, Mishra focused on enhancing education quality in the district as per the government’s vision. He urged the promotion of innovative practices in schools to engage students and enhance the learning process effectively.
Mishra also highlighted the necessity of functional school laboratories for practical work and the importance of well-organized school libraries. He emphasized that libraries should be utilized effectively to enrich students’ knowledge and aid in their learning process.
During the meeting, Mishra issued directives for preparing students for competitive exams like NEET and JEE, particularly emphasizing support for rural students to compete effectively. He stressed the need for departments to strategize and improve the district’s overall exam results.
Appointed as the new Collector following the transfer of the previous Collector Swarochit Somvanshi, Mishra, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been proactive in overseeing administrative matters. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, during his visit to Sidhi district, expressed dissatisfaction with the slow progress of the collectorate building’s construction and urged officials to expedite the work while maintaining quality standards.
