The tragic suicide case of 26-year-old Ganavi, also known as Rashi, has taken a serious turn as her husband, Suraj, died by suicide, and his mother, Jayanti, allegedly attempted to end her life in Maharashtra. Ganavi, who alleged harassment and rejection by Suraj and his family, passed away in a Bengaluru hospital after attempting suicide. Following her death, Ganavi’s relatives protested outside Suraj’s residence, demanding justice and the arrest of the family members.
After Ganavi’s demise, Suraj, Jayanti, and Suraj’s brother, Sanjay, traveled to Nagpur. Jayanti reportedly attempted suicide at a relative’s house in Nagpur, while Suraj was found dead by hanging. Jayanti is currently in critical condition undergoing treatment at a hospital. No suicide note was discovered on Suraj’s phone, and a post-mortem examination was conducted in Nagpur.
Ganavi’s mother, Rukmini, suggested that Suraj’s guilt led to his suicide, denying the allegations against her daughter’s character. Ganavi and Suraj, who got married in October, faced marital discord after Ganavi’s pre-marital relationship came to light during their honeymoon in Sri Lanka. The disputes escalated, leading to Ganavi’s return to her parental home and subsequent suicide attempt.
Allegations of dowry harassment and abetment to suicide have been made against Suraj and his family, prompting a police investigation in both Karnataka and Maharashtra. Ganavi’s family accused Suraj and his relatives of mistreating her, leading to her tragic death. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances surrounding the series of tragic events.
