The National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a supplementary chargesheet against Kundan Kumar, also known as Kundan Bhagat, in connection with a 2024 Bihar case involving illegal weapons smuggling. This chargesheet, submitted in Patna, invoked sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Arms Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Kundan Kumar has become the sixth accused to be chargesheeted in this case. The Bihar Police initially seized an AK-47 rifle and a lens, uncovering an extensive illegal arms network in the state. NIA investigations revealed that Kundan Kumar played an active role in procuring and smuggling prohibited bore weapons from Nagaland.

He was arrested by the NIA in November 2025 after investigations into the network. The agency stated that Kundan Kumar conspired with other accused individuals as part of a well-organized weapons smuggling racket in Bihar. The NIA continues its probe to identify other syndicate members and dismantle the illegal arms smuggling network across states.
