NITI Aayog organized a stakeholder consultation to discuss the implementation of the ‘SHANTI Act 2025’. The consultation involved experts sharing insights across various crucial areas to enhance the Act’s implementation framework. Key leaders, policymakers, and experts from government, research institutions, and industry participated in the event.
The discussions were structured around three key pillars essential for the successful rollout of the Act. These pillars included Legislative and Regulatory Framework, Finance, Insurance, and Public Perception, and Manufacturing, Operations, and Capacity Building. Stakeholders deliberated on aspects such as draft rules, financial mechanisms, risk-mitigation frameworks, insurance arrangements, public awareness strategies, and capacity-building programs.
The consultation aimed to address critical aspects like strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities, ensuring operational readiness, and developing a skilled workforce to support the ecosystem. Additionally, discussions focused on enhancing supply chain resilience and designing capacity-building programs to foster industrial scaling and nurture a competent human resource base. Professor Abhay Karandikar chaired the stakeholder consultation.
