Northeastern Governors and Chief Ministers Join Festivities to Celebrate Holi

The festival of colors, Holi, was joyously celebrated in the Northeastern region with the participation of Governors and Chief Ministers. In Arunachal Pradesh, Governor Lt Gen K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) marked the occasion by celebrating Holi with members of the Brahma Kumaris at Lok Bhavan in Itanagar. The Governor commended the organization for promoting peace, harmony, and moral values in society, encouraging them to continue fostering positivity and unity among communities.

In Tripura, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu celebrated Holi at Lok Bhavan in Agartala with staff, children, officers, and employees. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Dol Purnima and Holi, wishing for joy, harmony, and mental peace for all. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu also conveyed his best wishes to the state’s residents, emphasizing the unifying power of Holi in celebrating shared values of love and togetherness.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma joined in the Holi and Doul Utsav celebrations at Barpeta Satra, extending his greetings to the people on the festive occasion. The festival was embraced across the Northeast, with diverse communities coming together to revel in the spirit of Holi.
