Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi highlighted that ensuring the safe and successful conduct of Lord Jagannath’s annual Ratha Yatra is a joint effort involving all stakeholders. At a review meeting in Puri, CM Majhi emphasized the crucial role of effective coordination among officials and staff to ensure the festival’s smooth execution.
During the meeting at Puri Town Hall, the Chief Minister urged officials and employees from various departments, along with servitors, to work together with dedication and expertise to ensure a flawless Ratha Yatra. He emphasized that this collaborative approach is essential for the seamless organization of the event.
CM Majhi recognized the significance of Ratha Yatra as a sacred occasion not only for the people of Puri but also for devotees from Odisha, India, and worldwide. He stressed that the responsibility of ensuring a safe Ratha Yatra extends beyond the government to all individuals involved, emphasizing the moral duty shared by everyone.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the officials’ commitment to their duties, viewing them as a sacred service under Lord Jagannath’s guidance. He highlighted the extensive security measures, including police deployment, healthcare provisions, and crowd management strategies, put in place for the festival. Additionally, he advised leveraging various media platforms for disseminating crucial information to devotees.
CM Majhi instructed officials to utilize their past experiences to enhance coordination and monitoring of arrangements. He also cautioned against the spread of misinformation, directing authorities to take strict action against rumour-mongers. The Chief Minister’s ultimate goal is for every devotee to have a spiritually enriching experience during the Ratha Yatra, marking a collective success.
