Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati introduced the e-Lok Bhavan Odisha App, a web-based platform to streamline citizen interactions with the Governor’s Secretariat. This move makes Odisha the first Indian state to implement a fully automated appointment and visitor management system at the Governor’s House. The digital platform launch underscores Lok Bhavan’s dedication to innovation, transparency, and sustainability.
The newly launched app simplifies citizen-centric governance by consolidating appointment management, grievance handling, and visitor access into a user-friendly digital interface. Previously, these processes involved extensive paperwork and multiple physical visits. The e-Lok Bhavan Odisha App ensures enhanced efficiency, transparency, and accessibility.
Citizens can now book appointments online, track application statuses in real-time, and receive notifications via SMS and WhatsApp. The system also issues QR code-based e-gate passes for secure entry verification. It features centralized dashboards for officials, website integration, and a 360-degree virtual tour of Lok Bhavan. Each application follows a structured, role-based workflow to ensure accountability and expedite decision-making.
Leveraging technology for appointment and visitor management aims to boost administrative efficiency, reduce procedural delays, and facilitate secure interactions with the Governor’s Secretariat. Governor Kambhampati emphasized the importance of this technological advancement. Lok Bhavan has also taken eco-friendly steps, such as becoming a net-zero energy facility powered by solar energy and transitioning the official carcade to electric vehicles.
