Odisha’s Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister, Krushna Chandra Patra, reassured the public about the ample availability of LPG, petrol, and diesel in the state. Patra chaired a meeting to oversee the distribution chain of these fuels, emphasizing the need for officials to ensure smooth supply without any inconvenience to consumers.
He directed district collectors to provide daily updates on the fuel supply status in their areas to maintain effective monitoring. Patra cautioned against panic buying and highlighted the state’s readiness to handle any challenges, urging residents to stay vigilant but composed amidst global uncertainties.
The minister also warned against black marketing and hoarding, deploying officers to crack down on such illegal activities promptly. The meeting, attended by top officials and representatives from major oil companies, focused on ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply to consumers and key institutions across Odisha.
Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh emphasized the importance of daily reports from district collectors on fuel requirements and availability. Special monitoring measures were put in place for critical institutions, reaffirming the government’s commitment to preventing disruptions in daily life for residents.
