To mark International Women’s Day, an online awareness program is scheduled for March 12 aimed at educating female students on their rights, safety measures, and cybersecurity. The program, to be held via the Webex platform, seeks to involve a wide participation of female students from schools and colleges. Additional Director General of Police (Civil Rights) and AHT, Lata Manoj Kumar, highlighted the program’s focus on raising awareness about cybercrime, government safety schemes for women, and the use of security-related digital platforms like the RajCop app.
Two sessions are planned for the program. The first session, led by Deputy Inspector General of Cyber Crime, Vikas Sharma, will address cyber awareness, women’s safety in the digital age, and provide guidance on cybercrime prevention and safe internet practices. The second session, featuring Deputy Inspector General of Crime, Deepak Bhargava, will discuss the New Judicial Code, women’s safety, and educate students on new criminal laws and legal provisions concerning women’s protection. The initiative aims to empower the younger generation with knowledge to navigate the digital world safely, understand their rights, and guard against various forms of cybercrime.
