Meanwhile, passengers shared positive experiences, noting the superior quality of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train compared to traditional services. The train, designed for overnight travel, aims to provide a premium travel experience with reliable safety features. With Prime Minister Modi flagging off the service from West Bengal to Assam, the fully air-conditioned train is set to offer passengers an airline-like journey at affordable fares. The Vande Bharat Sleeper train is geared towards making long-distance trips faster, safer, and more convenient, reducing travel time by approximately 2.5 hours on the Howrah-Guwahati route.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper train, capable of reaching speeds up to 180 kmph, prioritizes passenger comfort with ergonomic berths and a world-class suspension system for a smooth ride. Hygiene is maintained through advanced disinfectant technology, fresh linens, and comprehensive onboard surveillance using CCTV cameras. Safety measures include the indigenous Kavach automatic train protection system and automatic sliding doors that enhance passenger safety and automation during the journey.
