PETA, the world’s largest animal rights organization, recently held a dialogue in London with philosopher Acharya Prashant. The conversation, led by PETA Foundation President Mimi Bekhechi, delved into topics such as animal consciousness, veganism, and non-violence.
Acharya Prashant emphasized that compassion is inherent in humans and questioned the origins of violence. He highlighted the importance of seeing animals as sentient beings rather than objects of consumption. This marked his fourth dialogue with PETA’s senior leadership.
During the discussion, Acharya Prashant linked violence towards animals and women, stressing that both stem from the same conditioned ego. He underscored the need to address individual responsibility in consuming animal products and advocated for personal change to drive broader societal transformation.
