The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is offering financial support to farmers in Sahibganj, Jharkhand. This scheme has proven to be a significant aid for farmers in managing agricultural expenses and reducing their reliance on loans.
Residents of Sadar block in Sahibganj, farmers Dilip Ojha and Uday Chandra Yadav, expressed their satisfaction with the scheme. Dilip Ojha highlighted that the timely financial assistance received under the Samman Nidhi has simplified farming activities for them.
Under the scheme, farmers like Ojha and Yadav receive Rs 6,000 annually in three installments, enabling them to purchase seeds and fertilizers promptly and carry out farming operations without delays. The direct transfer of funds to their bank accounts has eliminated intermediaries, reducing financial burdens and interest payments.
Uday Chandra Yadav also commended PM Modi for the scheme’s benefits to the farming community, emphasizing the positive impact on their livelihoods. The direct benefit transfer mechanism has enhanced financial stability for farmers, facilitating timely investments in agriculture and promoting better farming practices while decreasing their dependence on credit.
