Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Venezuela’s Acting President, Delcy Rodriguez, met to discuss forming an energy partnership. Venezuela, known for its significant oil reserves, sees India as a key partner for future energy collaboration.
Rodriguez’s visit to India includes meetings with various officials, including PM Modi and External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar. The discussions highlighted the potential for a broader economic partnership beyond the energy sector. Both countries aim to explore opportunities in mining, animal husbandry, transportation, and pharmaceuticals, among other areas. The meeting emphasized the long-standing relationship between India and Venezuela.
The discussions also touched upon India’s support for Venezuela during challenging times, reinforcing the strong bond between the two nations. Rodriguez’s visit aims to strengthen ties and explore avenues for increased cooperation in various sectors. The Venezuelan delegation expressed interest in enhancing bilateral relations and viewed India as a preferred partner for future collaborations.
