Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the teachings of Guru Ravidas during an event in Punjab marking the 649th birth anniversary of the revered figure. He highlighted the significant social service contributions of Dera Sachkhand Ballan, especially in education and healthcare, under the guidance of Sant Niranjan Das-ji Maharaj.
PM Modi expressed his happiness over the naming of Adampur airport as Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj Ji Airport and the inauguration of the new terminal building at Halwara airport. He emphasized Guru Ravidas-ji’s teachings on equality and equal opportunities in society, extending his best wishes to all citizens for these initiatives.
The Prime Minister also mentioned the construction of a temple and museum dedicated to Guru Ravidas in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar, where he laid the foundation stone. He spoke optimistically about strengthening the community’s foundation through such efforts and highlighted the Union Budget’s focus on empowering villages and increasing farmers’ income.
PM Modi underscored the potential benefits of the trade deal for Punjab’s skilled youth and textile industry, expressing confidence in achieving the vision of a Developed India with the blessings of Sant Ravidas-ji. He concluded by emphasizing the budget’s aim to empower the marginalized sections of society and inaugurating the terminal building at Halwara Airport in Ludhiana.
