In his conversation with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, PM Modi thanked the UAE leadership for ensuring the well-being of the large Indian community residing in the country. He emphasized the importance of de-escalation, regional peace, security, and stability.
India and the UAE have close strategic and economic ties, collaborating in areas such as trade, energy, defense, counter-terrorism, and diaspora engagement. The UAE hosts one of the largest Indian expatriate communities globally, enhancing people-to-people relations between the two countries.
The Prime Minister’s outreach coincides with heightened tensions in parts of West Asia, with countries on alert due to recent regional developments. PM Modi chaired a high-level meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) in the national capital, addressing the deteriorating geopolitical situation in the Middle East.
