Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian cricket team for their victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Team India, the defending champions, secured a historic win by defeating New Zealand by 96 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. PM Modi commended the players for their skill, determination, and teamwork displayed throughout the tournament.

The New Zealand team faced a challenging target of 256 runs but could only manage 159 all out in 19 overs. PM Modi took to social media to highlight the exceptional performance and unwavering grit shown by the Indian team during the competition. He expressed pride and joy over the team’s victory, stating that it has resonated with millions of Indians.

The Indian team’s triumph in the T20 World Cup has sparked celebrations among cricket enthusiasts nationwide. The openers, Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan, played crucial roles in setting up a formidable total. Sanju Samson’s impressive 89 off 46 balls, supported by Abhishek Sharma’s 52 and Ishan Kishan’s 54, contributed to India posting a massive 255/5, the second-highest total in the tournament.

India’s bowlers dismantled New Zealand’s innings early on, restricting them to 159 runs and securing a comprehensive victory. Despite a brief challenge from James Neesham, India’s dominance prevailed as they made history with this remarkable win. The performance of players like Samson, Sharma, and Kishan, coupled with strong bowling from Bumrah and Patel, solidified India’s success in the tournament.
