Modi highlighted the significance of June 20 in preserving West Bengal’s linguistic, cultural, and civilizational identity within India.
The Prime Minister also mentioned Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s role in ensuring West Bengal’s statehood within India. He commended Adhikari for his performance as the ninth Chief Minister of West Bengal, emphasizing the government’s swift actions and compassion in various initiatives. Modi appreciated the state’s adoption of Ayushman Bharat to provide quality healthcare to millions of families and its efforts in border security measures.
In his letter, PM Modi acknowledged the positive reception of women-centric policies, such as improved bus travel facilities and welfare schemes like Annapurna Yojana and Maa Ahar. He praised the government’s decision to implement the 7th Pay Commission, addressing long-standing issues faced by government employees. Modi assured Adhikari of the Union Government’s continuous support for West Bengal’s development, highlighting substantial financial allocations for key projects like the Jal Jeevan Mission and railway infrastructure.
