Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone conversation with Kuwait Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, focusing on the evolving situation in West Asia. PM Modi expressed India’s disapproval of attacks on Kuwait’s sovereignty and appreciated the Crown Prince’s support for the Indian community in Kuwait. Both leaders emphasized the importance of sustained diplomatic efforts for regional peace and stability.

The discussion between PM Modi and the Kuwait Crown Prince occurred amidst the ongoing conflict in West Asia, triggered by US-Israeli strikes on Iran. Iran retaliated with drone and missile attacks on US and Israeli facilities in the region. PM Modi has also engaged with leaders from UAE, Israel, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar to stay connected with the developments in the region.

In a recent conversation with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, PM Modi condemned all attacks on the UAE and emphasized the need for safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Both leaders underscored the significance of working together for peace, security, and stability in the region.
