Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awardees at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event, known as Veer Bal Diwas, saw President Droupadi Murmu presenting awards to children from 18 states and Union Territories for their exceptional courage and contributions across various fields.
During the interaction, PM Modi engaged with Vaka Lakshmi Pragnika, a recipient who won a gold medal for India at the World School Chess competition. He also appreciated Esther Lalduhawmi Hnamte from Mizoram for her patriotic song performance, which left him spellbound.
Another touching moment was when PM Modi spoke with Shravan Singh from Firozpur, Punjab, who assisted Indian soldiers during Operation Sindoor. Singh’s selfless actions of providing essentials like milk and tea earned him widespread praise and a conversation with the Prime Minister.
Arnav Anupriya Maharshi, an innovative young mind, showcased two Made in India solutions to PM Modi, including an AI-based software for patients with paralysis and a smart wrist device for hand rehabilitation. Additionally, Kumari Jyoti, a para-athlete and Under-20 Asian medallist, shared her sports journey and dream of winning a Paralympic gold for India.
The event also paid tribute to the Sahibzades of Guru Gobind Singh, highlighting their historical legacy and sacrifice. Prime Minister Modi concluded the program by honoring the Sahibzades and congratulating the young awardees for their remarkable achievements.
