Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Oslo, discussing the deepening friendship between India and Denmark. They highlighted cooperation in various sectors like water resources, clean energy, shipping, and food processing, with plans for future collaboration in fintech, industry, defense, and innovation. PM Modi urged Danish pension funds to boost their investments in India, emphasizing the potential benefits of the Free Trade Agreement between India and the EU for both countries’ economies.

The leaders reviewed bilateral cooperation and expressed satisfaction with the progress made in their joint agenda. They welcomed advancements in the India-Denmark Green Strategic Partnership, focusing on environmental collaboration and green transitions. PM Modi expressed India’s openness to adopting Danish green technologies to support its growing economy, particularly in water-related initiatives like the Smart Laboratory on Clean Rivers in Varanasi.

In addition to environmental efforts, the leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in new technologies, communications, research, startups, and academic exchanges. They explored opportunities in defense, artificial intelligence, and even invited Danish companies to establish a presence in GIFT City, Gujarat. The meeting underscored the commitment to strengthening ties and fostering innovation between the two nations.
