Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while inaugurating the Bhairavaikya Mandir at Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasansthan Math in Srikshetra Adichunchanagiri, outlined nine key “convictions” for citizens in Karnataka’s Mandya district. He emphasized the importance of water conservation, urging responsible usage and conservation practices in the region blessed by the Cauvery River.

In addition to water conservation, PM Modi encouraged people to plant trees in their mothers’ names to boost afforestation efforts nationwide. He also stressed the collective responsibility of maintaining cleanliness in religious places, public spaces, villages, and cities.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of economic self-reliance by promoting swadeshi and Atmanirbharta through the use of Indian-made products and supporting domestic industries. He also called for exploring the country and promoting domestic tourism to enhance national unity and development.

Addressing farmers, PM Modi advocated for a shift towards chemical-free organic farming for sustainable agriculture and public health. He also emphasized the nutritional value of traditional foods like ragi mudde and encouraged the younger generation to include millets in their diets to combat rising obesity.

PM Modi’s appeals extended to adopting yoga, sports, and fitness in daily life and fostering service-mindedness to strengthen society and promote collective progress. He expressed confidence that embracing these nine convictions sincerely would contribute to Karnataka’s and the nation’s development.

Describing Mandya as the “land of sugar,” PM Modi praised the region for its sugarcane sweetness and the warmth and hospitality of its people, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
