He stressed that the proposed women’s reservation legislation aims to transform the direction and condition of Indian politics by ensuring increased female participation in decision-making processes. PM Modi underscored the law’s importance in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, noting the historical impact of women voters on dissenters of such initiatives.
In his address, PM Modi called for a non-partisan approach towards the issue, highlighting the opportunity to redefine the nation’s political landscape and reinforce democratic principles. The Lok Sabha is set to vote on the women’s reservation and delimitation bills, with discussions expected to span 12 hours and potentially extend further if necessary. Speaker Om Birla indicated that the debate might last 15-18 hours to accommodate all members’ contributions before the voting process.
