The Dhokra boat sculpture, made using the ancient lost-wax casting technique, symbolizes unity and collective progress. The Premium Indian Coffee Box showcases the diverse coffee varieties from India’s major coffee-growing regions.
PM Modi also presented a vinyl record of the Colonial Cousins album to Albanese, known for blending Indian classical traditions with Western influences. Additionally, a wool embroidered stole from Kashmir was gifted to Albanese’s spouse, Jodie Haydon, reflecting Kashmir’s rich textile artistry. Furthermore, a Madhubani painting from Bihar was presented to the Governor of Victoria, Margaret Gardner, showcasing India’s folk art heritage.
The Governor-General of Australia, Sam Mostyn, received a marble inlay work box from PM Modi, highlighting India’s Pietra Dura tradition. Moreover, a wooden hand-carved elephant sculpture was gifted to Australia’s Leader of the Opposition, Angus Taylor, symbolizing wisdom, strength, and prosperity.
