Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead a high-level meeting with the secretaries of all Central government ministries and departments to assess the progress of crucial reforms aimed at enhancing India’s Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living. The meeting will concentrate on streamlining regulations, supporting ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat,’ and boosting administrative efficiency across various sectors.
This gathering will mark the Prime Minister’s second extensive engagement with the country’s top civil servants and is scheduled to commence at 4:30 p.m. The agenda includes presentations by secretaries on the status of reforms, policy execution, and developmental efforts within their respective departments. Discussions are anticipated to revolve around the government’s primary reform strategies, particularly those enhancing the Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living.
The review holds significance as the government recently initiated the “52 Reforms in 52 Weeks” campaign across ministries, including Railways, with clearly defined timelines for implementation. Prime Minister Modi has consistently stressed the need for tangible results within set deadlines, underscoring the importance of periodic evaluations in governance. The meeting aims to enable ministries to evaluate progress, tackle implementation hurdles, and enhance coordination to expedite reforms benefiting public service delivery and reducing regulatory complexities.
