Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to join the national celebration of ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ on December 26. The event will commence at approximately 12:15 PM at Bharat Mandapam, where the Prime Minister will deliver a speech. ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ is a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the Sahibzades – Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the young sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Their martyrdom at a young age stands as a significant chapter in India’s history, symbolizing unwavering courage in the face of oppression.
To commemorate this day, the Indian government is organizing various interactive events nationwide. These activities will include storytelling sessions, poetry recitals, poster-making, and essay competitions, all aimed at involving children and youth in the legacy of the Sahibzades. The programs will take place in schools, Anganwadi centers, Child Care Institutions, and other educational venues, with additional online sessions accessible through the MyGov and MyBharat platforms.
The gathering at Bharat Mandapam will also witness the presence of recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP), adding a special significance to the day’s events. ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ serves as a remembrance of the courage and sacrifice of the Sahibzades, whose martyrdom remains a crucial part of India’s history and is passed down through generations.
