During the meeting, Sikorski and Jaishankar also discussed the issue of unfair selective tariff targeting. Sikorski echoed Jaishankar’s concerns, warning of potential global trade turbulence if such practices continue. Jaishankar acknowledged the broader implications of selective targeting beyond tariffs and expressed a willingness to address these issues.
Sikorski emphasized the historical ties between India and Poland, noting their shared experiences as dynamic regional players. He stressed the importance of both countries collaborating to seize emerging opportunities and navigate challenges. Sikorski also expressed hope for India’s continued engagement in Europe, commending New Delhi’s efforts in establishing embassies across the continent.
