Police in Srinagar district, Jammu & Kashmir, have seized a residential house and land valued at Rs 1.2 crore from a drug peddler. The property, owned by Maqsood Hussain Khan, was attached under the NDPS Act as part of the crackdown on drug trafficking.
The attached property, located in Gasoo Hazratbal, includes a double-storeyed house and land. This action was taken by Police Station Nigeen in connection with specific FIRs related to drug offenses. The owner is prohibited from any transactions involving the property.
Srinagar Police’s efforts are focused on eliminating drug-related activities from society. They are determined to take strict measures against individuals engaged in drug trafficking. Cooperation from citizens in reporting drug-related activities is encouraged.
Jammu & Kashmir Police, along with security forces, are actively conducting operations against drug smugglers and peddlers. The Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha, has emphasized additional punitive actions, including property attachment, to combat drug smuggling in the region.
