Police in Srinagar district, Jammu & Kashmir, have seized properties valued at around Rs 5.60 crore under the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan. This action is part of the crackdown on drug trafficking, with immovable assets being attached under the NDPS Act.
As a significant move against narcotics traffickers, Police Station Chanapora has attached seven properties belonging to individuals involved in separate drug cases. These properties, totaling crores, have been identified as illegally acquired assets from drug trafficking proceeds.
Furthermore, Police Station Saddar has attached a residential house worth approximately Rs 80 lakh in connection with an NDPS Act violation. The seized properties are confirmed to be proceeds of illicit drug trafficking and are being dealt with in accordance with the law.
The police’s actions aim to disrupt the financial networks supporting drug trafficking syndicates. By targeting unlawfully acquired wealth, they seek to dismantle the economic structures fueling the drug trade and convey a strong message against crime.
Srinagar Police emphasizes its commitment to creating a drug-free society and urges the public to report any information on drug trafficking or criminal activities. Public cooperation is vital in the ongoing Nasha Mukti Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan to combat drug-related issues effectively.
