Police in Sambhal have implemented strict measures to seize the property of Shariq Satha, the alleged orchestrator of the Sambhal violence, following a court directive to attach his residence in Uttar Pradesh. A significant police presence, including senior officers and personnel from various units, has been arranged to ensure the smooth execution of the attachment process. Additionally, a flag march is being conducted in the area to maintain public order and emphasize the enforcement action.
Elaborating on the operation, ASP Kuldeep Singh mentioned the issuance of a Non-Bailable Warrant against the accused. The police, equipped with the warrant, conducted a raid at Satha’s residence after receiving a certified copy from the Secretariat. The operation involves forces from multiple police stations and a PRO team to enforce the warrant effectively. Tehsildar Dhirendra Pratap Singh confirmed the court’s instructions were being carried out in compliance.
Shariq Satha, evading authorities since the Sambhal violence in November 2024, remains at large despite extensive police efforts and arrests of three associates linked to his gang. The court had previously issued warnings of property seizure against Satha, who failed to surrender, leading to the registration of three additional cases by the SIT. Investigators suspect Satha fled to Dubai using a fake passport in 2020, known for his involvement in large-scale vehicle thefts and eluding law enforcement post his release from a Delhi prison.
