The police in Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh, have swiftly resolved the tragic murder of a 7-year-old child from Matiyamau village. The suspect, wanted with a bounty of Rs 50,000, was killed in a police encounter, with the Special Operations Group (SOG) in-charge sustaining injuries during the operation.
Authorities revealed that the accused not only murdered the child but also sexually assaulted him. To mislead investigators, the suspect used a stolen SIM card to demand ransom from the family, attempting to divert attention towards a kidnapping scenario. Swift police action led to the elimination of the suspect, with an ongoing investigation into the entire incident.
The father of the victim, Aqeel, reported his son missing on May 2 after he failed to return from a village fair. Aqeel’s complaint initiated a search operation that tragically ended with the discovery of the child’s body in a maize field. The primary suspect, Mehnuddin, was identified during the investigation, prompting a Rs 50,000 reward for his capture.
After being shot, the accused was taken to a health center and then to the Hardoi District Hospital, where he was declared dead. Authorities emphasized the importance of prompt justice delivery and continue to probe the entire chain of events thoroughly.
