Posters claiming Jamui Lok Sabha member Arun Bharti is missing from the constituency have appeared at key locations like Kachari Chowk, the Registry Office, and K.K.M. College in Bihar. This development has sparked discussions among the public and within political circles. Arun Bharti, a Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP from Jamui and the brother-in-law of Union Minister Chirag Paswan, has allegedly not been seen in the area for two months, causing discontent among locals.
The posters, put up by Abhinay Dubey, the city secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jamui unit, have drawn attention to the MP’s absence from critical events, such as the recent railway accident. Dubey mentioned that despite various issues in the district, Arun Bharti only makes brief visits to Jamui. He warned of escalating protest actions if the MP does not return within eight days. Reacting to the situation, LJP (Ram-Vilas) Jamui district president Jeevan Singh downplayed the posters, attributing them to mischievous elements.
The incident has heightened political tensions in Jamui, focusing on Arun Bharti’s connection with his constituency. Arun Bharti, a key figure in the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and instrumental in the party’s organizational growth in Bihar, won the Jamui seat in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. The party, under his leadership, secured 19 out of 29 seats it contested in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025.
