Several posters featuring prominent opposition leaders like Mamata Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal, Pinarayi Vijayan, and M.K. Stalin were seen in parts of New Delhi before a crucial INDIA bloc meeting. These posters, put up anonymously, carry a common message questioning the unity of the INDIA alliance members.
One poster with Mamata Banerjee featured a quote suggesting her willingness to lead the alliance if Congress fails to do so. Another poster attributed to Banerjee expressed doubts about Congress’s credibility. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s poster narrated a story about Congress losing its significance in Delhi and Punjab.
A poster with a quote from Sharad Pawar highlighted Rahul Gandhi’s alleged lack of consistency. Pinarayi Vijayan’s poster portrayed him as a national leader with more grassroots understanding than Gandhi. Arvind Kejriwal’s poster advised against voting for Congress even by mistake, while M.K. Stalin’s poster criticized Congress leaders for sabotaging their own cause.
Twenty-three political parties are set to participate in the INDIA bloc meeting in New Delhi, focusing on future strategies for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections and addressing internal tensions within the coalition. This meeting, known as the “INDIA janbandhan” gathering, aims to enhance opposition unity against the ruling government by coordinating on key political issues.
