The NCP’s working president, Praful Patel, supported the party’s request for a CBI investigation into the plane crash that claimed the life of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Patel emphasized the need for a thorough probe into the incident, citing doubts raised by many regarding the ongoing investigations by various agencies. He highlighted the importance of examining all aspects of the tragedy to understand how such a significant accident occurred.
Patel expressed concerns about the current investigations and stressed the importance of ensuring that every angle is thoroughly explored. While acknowledging the ongoing technical probe by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Board, he underscored the necessity of a comprehensive inquiry. Patel also mentioned the involvement of the state CID in the investigation but reiterated the NCP’s demand for a CBI inquiry to shed light on all aspects of the case.
Responding to queries about statements made by NCP-SP legislator Rohit Pawar, Patel reiterated the party’s stance on the matter. He emphasized the need for a transparent and exhaustive investigation to address the concerns surrounding Ajit Pawar’s tragic death in the plane crash. Patel’s remarks came following Rohit Pawar’s call for the removal of top officials in the Civil Aviation Ministry and the DGCA, alleging a potential bias in the ongoing investigations and demanding a shift in the approach to the case.
