Addressing the media after meeting the family, Kishor denounced the alleged pressure faced by the family from the police. He noted the family’s determination to seek justice for their daughter and demanded immediate corrections if any investigative lapses were found.
Kishor announced plans to meet senior police officials with the victim’s family to demand a fair and transparent investigation. He vowed to ensure justice for the girl and warned of further actions within the constitutional framework if justice is not served. The incident has sparked public outrage and calls for a thorough inquiry into the girl’s death.
Patna Police had arrested the hostel owner earlier, and the post-mortem report, received on January 14, indicated the possibility of sexual assault. Doctors expressed concerns over the circumstances leading to the girl’s death, which occurred at Shambhu Girls’ Hostel in Patna on January 9.
