The final rites of Prateek Yadav, son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, took place at Baikunth Dham in Bhaisakund. The cremation saw emotional moments as family, relatives, and supporters bid him farewell. Veteran journalist Arvind Bisht, Prateek’s father-in-law, lit the pyre.

After the rituals, Bisht, visibly emotional, wiped away tears and paid his respects to his son-in-law. The cremation ground was filled with deep emotions as Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, along with other family members, placed logs on the pyre. Prateek’s wife, Aparna Yadav, and their daughters were also present during the ceremony.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak attended the funeral ceremony, which drew thousands of supporters during the procession. Both the Samajwadi Party and BJP leaders were present, chanting “Prateek Yadav Amar Rahein” during the procession. Prateek Yadav, known for his love for animals, was honored with a display of his affection for pets on the hearse, touching many present.
