Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at an election rally in Coimbatore, expressed regret over the non-passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill. With campaigning intensifying ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, PM Modi highlighted the significance of the upcoming elections.
During his visit, PM Modi conducted a roadshow in Nagercoil before addressing a public gathering in Coimbatore. He showcased NDA candidates from various constituencies and exuded confidence in the alliance’s success in the state. The rally, attended by AIADMK leaders, emphasized the importance of development-focused politics in Coimbatore.
PM Modi criticized the DMK and Congress, attributing the Bill’s failure to their “politics of hatred.” He accused the ruling party of nepotism and lack of transparency, contrasting it with the NDA’s inclusive approach. The Prime Minister also pledged to investigate alleged corruption in the state, particularly related to the TASMAC liquor network, if the NDA assumes power.
