The event marked a highlight of his two-day visit to the state. Traditional Assamese dance performances greeted the Prime Minister, creating a celebratory atmosphere that showcased the cultural pride and enthusiasm of the party workers. A large crowd gathered along the National Highway leading to the BJP office, eager to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister and waving party flags. Supporters expressed admiration for PM Modi with slogans, emphasizing the strong support base of the BJP in Assam. Party leaders described the visit as a proud and historic moment for the state unit.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the new terminal building of Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi (LGB) International Airport, aiming to enhance air connectivity and boost economic growth in the region. Following the inauguration, he conducted a roadshow covering nearly 1.5 kilometers from the airport to the BJP office. The roadshow saw significant participation from party workers, youth, and women supporters who lined the streets to welcome him.
BJP workers expressed excitement and pride over the Prime Minister’s visit, with one party worker noting it was the first time he had seen a Prime Minister visiting a party office. He praised PM Modi’s leadership for driving development initiatives in Assam, citing increased tourism in Kaziranga following the Prime Minister’s visit. The worker also commended the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, highlighting the combined efforts of state and central leadership in strengthening the BJP for the future.
A female BJP supporter shared similar sentiments, expressing happiness over improved infrastructure and safety in the state. She noted that people now have better facilities and can travel safely at any time, attributing the BJP’s continued electoral success to public satisfaction with the Modi government. She expressed hope that the government would persist in working for the welfare of all sections of society.
