This iconic structure, built of stone and concrete, could hold up to 80,000 spectators for gladiatorial contests and public events.
Italian PM Giorgia Meloni warmly greeted PM Modi in Rome during the final leg of his five-nation tour. Meloni expressed a personal welcome to Modi, emphasizing the strong bond between the two leaders. PM Modi also attended a dinner hosted by Meloni and shared images from the event.
The Indian Prime Minister expressed anticipation for talks with Meloni to further enhance the India-Italy friendship. Scheduled to meet President Sergio Mattarella, PM Modi aims to strengthen ties during his official visit to Italy. The visit includes discussions on boosting the strategic partnership between India and Italy.
The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted the significance of the visit in enhancing the India-Italy partnership. Both countries are actively implementing the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029, focusing on trade, investment, defense, clean energy, innovation, and people-to-people exchanges. The visit aims to reinforce India’s engagement with Europe, particularly in trade and investment following the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement.
