Pune Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill refuted claims of a stampede at Shivneri Fort, the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He clarified that a group carrying a ceremonial torch hurriedly descended the fort’s steps, resulting in a minor incident where a few individuals sustained minor leg injuries. The situation was swiftly managed without any stampede-like scenario.

Following the incident, the movement of people at the fort has been organized in a controlled manner.
