Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including ministers and MLAs, protested outside the residence of Leader of Opposition Partap Bajwa, accusing the Congress leadership of disrespecting Dalits and honest livelihoods. The protest turned tense, leading to a clash with the police, who used water cannons to disperse the crowd.
Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, along with other ministers and party members, participated in the protest, denouncing the alleged insult of Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO. Simultaneously, AAP leader Joban Randhawa led a separate protest outside Bajwa’s residence in Gurdaspur.
Addressing the protest, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO criticized the Congress for mocking hard-earned livelihoods, emphasizing the importance of honest work. He highlighted his own background, stating that his father, a band master, educated his children through sheer hard work.
Targeting the Congress party, the minister accused them of treating Dalit society as commodities for votes. He also criticized the party’s state chief Raja Warring for issuing threats during rallies, questioning the party’s commitment to law and order.
