Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently led a meeting to assess two significant projects focusing on enhancing the state’s cultural essence and displaying its historical legacy globally. One of the approved projects involves constructing a grand entrance gate at the Shambhu border, designed to highlight Punjab’s unique ‘Panj-ab’ identity and architectural heritage. Additionally, CM Mann gave the green light to the revised Heritage Street initiative in Anandpur Sahib, aimed at connecting various historic gurdwaras and promoting the state’s religious and historical values.
The Heritage Street project in Anandpur Sahib will link Quilla Sri Anandgarh Sahib, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, and other important gurdwaras, establishing a spiritual and cultural pathway for devotees and tourists. This endeavor underscores Punjab’s dedication to safeguarding its religious and historical significance, particularly in Anandpur Sahib, a revered spiritual center in Sikhism. CM Mann emphasized the project’s aim to enhance the spiritual and heritage experience for visitors and devotees, extending from Quilla Anandgarh Sahib to Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Park, Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib, and Gurdwara Bhora Sahib.
Furthermore, CM Mann assured that the project’s design would undergo necessary approvals from the Union Ministry of Tourism and other relevant authorities to ensure its seamless execution. He also announced the formation of a high-powered committee to supervise the project’s implementation, emphasizing a smooth and efficient execution process.
