Punjab’s government schools have achieved a remarkable feat in public education, with 416 schools attaining a perfect 100% pass rate in the Punjab School Education Board Class 12 examinations. Girls have excelled once again, with three students – Supneet Kaur, Suhani Chauhan, and Divyanshi – scoring a flawless 500 out of 500 marks, leading the merit list.
This success underscores a significant shift towards confidence in government education, as 122 out of 275 students in the merit list hail from government schools, showcasing a notable transformation in the state’s education landscape. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann honored the top scorers and awarded each student a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for their outstanding performance.
Chief Minister Mann commended the toppers, emphasizing their excellence not only in academics but also in sports, reflecting their all-round achievements. He expressed pride in the girls’ consistent academic prowess, highlighting their success as a symbol of true empowerment and a catalyst for socio-economic growth in Punjab and beyond.
