Punjabi actress Mandy Takhar has filed for mutual divorce from her husband Shekhar Kaushal. The couple, who tied the knot in 2024, has been living separately since last year. The first motion for mutual divorce was initiated by them before the Saket Court, citing personal differences as the reason. The divorce has been granted, confirmed advocate Ishaan Mukherjee, representing Mandy Takhar. However, no further details were disclosed by the lawyer.
Mandy Takhar, known for her roles in Punjabi and Tamil cinema, made her debut in the 2010 film “Ekam – Son of Soil” opposite Punjabi singer Babbu Mann. She later starred in various films, including “Mirza – The Untold Story” alongside Gippy Grewal and “Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22” with Amrinder Gill and Honey Singh. Transitioning to Tamil cinema, she appeared in Venkat Prabhu’s “Biriyani” and continued her success in Punjabi films like “Rabb Da Radio” and “Enna Nu Rehna Sehna Ni Aaunda.”
Originally from Wolverhampton, UK, Mandy Takhar moved to London at 17 to study drama before venturing into the Hindi and Punjabi film industry in 2009. Her versatile career also includes appearances in music videos by Ammy Virk, Jubin Nautiyal, and Yo Yo Honey Singh.
