Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, urged the immediate dismissal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following the NEET exam paper leak. Gandhi criticized the government for allegedly jeopardizing the future of around 22 lakh NEET candidates. He questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the issue and demanded action against Pradhan.
In a video message, Rahul Gandhi asserted that the NEET question paper had been circulated two days before the exam. Accusing Dharmendra Pradhan, Gandhi stated that the Education Minister’s denial of involvement had undermined the essence of education in India. He alleged a collusion between the RSS, BJP, and certain educational appointees for profit at the expense of students.
Rahul Gandhi further criticized the appointment process of Vice-Chancellors in universities, claiming ideological alignment superseded merit. He highlighted a pattern of exam paper leaks nationwide, citing approximately 80 instances that had adversely impacted the future of nearly two crore young individuals. Gandhi demanded accountability from PM Modi, urging the immediate removal of the Education Minister and strict action against those responsible for the leak.
